Dear Monica and the Montage Health Team,
When researching potential jobs, there are countless options that could kind of be a fit, but it is rare to come across opportunities that are tailor-made for my skills, talents, interests, and background. The Communications Strategist position is the perfect next step in my career.
I recently moved to Monterey County with my family because of its beauty, lifestyle, and culture. The local community is amazing and I would love to play a part in promoting healthy lives for everyone here. I appreciate that Montage Health emphasizes prevention and maximizing well-being. Those principles have been instilled in me through osmosis during my wife’s experience earning her doctorate in Natural Medicine, and I understand the importance of treating the whole person and the causes of illness rather than just the symptoms.
My career path has led me to become an expert in social media management, brand storytelling, strategic partnerships, and content creation. I thrive when using my skills and unique vision to tell stories in a clean, strategic, engaging, and thoughtful way. For example, at Bok Tower Gardens I quickly created a consistent and improved style to all marketing materials, which more than doubled organic social media reach year-over-year and increased Facebook followers by over 25,000 people during my time there. I also have experience writing and photographing for editorial pieces, monitoring and engaging in public conversations about brands (managing both positive and negative comments), communicating to the public during emergencies, using Adobe Creative Suite to design marketing materials and edit photos and videos, and analyzing data to reinforce what's working and to learn from what’s not working.
I have felt most fulfilled when working for a non-profit and am excited for the opportunity to improve lives in the community and to help fulfill Montage’s mission. My skills, creativity, adaptability, eagerness to learn, problem-solving abilities, and respectful demeanor would make me a great fit as your Communications Strategist.

Thank you for your consideration,
