Dear Caleb and the Santa Lucia Preserve Team,
Dear Caleb and the Santa Lucia Preserve Team,
My creativity, photography and video experience, as well as my digital marketing knowledge make me an excellent fit for your Marketing and Communications Coordinator position. I have a deep appreciation for nature that is evident in my visual style, and I would be excited to help show what makes the Preserve so unique.
For the past four years, I served as Social Media Coordinator and Digital Content Creator for Bok Tower Gardens, a historic environmental organization and National Historic Landmark. In that role, I produced content across digital, print, and web channels while maintaining a cohesive visual and narrative identity across platforms. I also regularly covered events through photography and videography and captured aerial footage using drones.
My work involved translating organizational priorities into audience-facing storytelling for members, donors, visitors, and board leadership. Through a consistent visual strategy and data-informed content approach, I helped more than double organic reach year over year and increased Facebook followers by more than 25,000. I also built and maintained a substantial photo and video library that continues to support the organization's communications efforts.
Beyond content creation, I managed publishing workflows, maintained website content, coordinated email communications, collaborated across departments to execute campaigns, and used analytics to refine strategy and improve performance. This combination of creative production and operational execution aligns closely with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator role’s emphasis on both storytelling and technical platform management.
My family and I recently moved to Carmel Valley, largely because of its beauty, sense of community, and incredible access to nature and outdoor activities. It would be inspiring to be able to work in the heart of that environment every day, reminding those already here how special it is, and sharing what makes it special with those who have yet to experience it.
I’ve included a writing sample, a video sample, and photography examples below, and I’d be happy to provide additional materials if you’d like. My resume is also below for your review.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Keith Novosel
